"Hey Water Sweepers! It's me, Percy! Today we're going underwater to talk about one of Florida's most underrated — and MOST important — creatures. That's right... CLAMS! Let's go!"

Welcome to the Clam Lesson!
Clams are one of Florida's most underrated and most important creatures. They may look simple, but these little bivalve mollusks are powerhouses for our ecosystem. Clams live buried in the sandy and muddy bottoms of Florida's bays and estuaries, and while you might not see them, they're down there working around the clock filtering water and supporting the entire food web. In this lesson, we'll learn what clams are, why they matter so much, what's threatening them, the restoration efforts bringing them back, and how you can help protect them.
